My name is Rob Quinn and I live in Bray County Wicklow in Ireland. I'm a photographer who'll take a photo of almost anything and see what emerges from the composition.
I usually photograph when out on a walk through the mountains, forests or cliffs by the sea and just now and then a particular scene has something special that I think needs to be captured.
Whilst I do enjoy the actual taking of photographs, it's the revealing of what's in a photo later in the post processing stage that really excites me.
I have three types of work stream and the one I use depends on what a photograph is revealing. I call these work streams - General Photographs, Imagine and Composites.
"General Photographs' are just that, photos that are a record of a places, events or people.
'Imagine' is my favorite work stream as I get to really explore a photo and bring out every bit of magic I can find in it.
'Composites' is the area that really stretches my creativity. This is such a huge area technically and there is so very much still to learn.
With regards to the gear I use to take photos, I use a Fuji XT2 when I purposely go out with the intention of taking photos. I use my trusty Sony RX100 when traveling light and don't know if I'll actually photograph anything. I also use the RX100 when traveling abroad on holiday.
